Have you been chasing that opportunity to cast aside all worries, embrace everything that is natural and let it all hang out? Then the Sydney Skinny Ocean Swim is for you. As far as the ocean swimming event calendar goes, this swim is by and far the most unique, and really well organised - it's definitely not a crude nude swim, it's much more than that. We will never do it justice here, so we implore you to check out the official website that is chock-a-block with information to alleviate your anxiety and get you one step closer to realising your naked ambition. The north-west facing beach is protected from the breeze providing for calm idyllic water conditions. There are two distances on offer, m and m, and there is not a timing device in sight, instead swimmers are sent off in waves to enjoy the swim at their own pace. The Sydney Skinny swim is a short m swim, around the diamond shaped course in the calm and sheltered waters of Middle Head. The Novice swim is an even shorter m swim, to a point in the centre of the Sydney Skinny course and back. This short m out-and-back course heads out into the harbour straight from the beach, around a buoy and back to the beach. It's the swim for non-swimmers, or the warm up?
